The
Christian Sentinel
Feature Publication
of Eastern Christian Outreach

(Revised Aug. 7, 2002)
IMPORTANT
NOTE: In June 2002, the Alnors moved to
southeast Texas, where Bill accepted a
professorship with Texas A&M University in
Kingsville. Accordingly, since the Alnors no
longer live in the Eastern U.S., the name Eastern
Christian Outreach seems redundant.
Therefore, the Alnors will likely be closing the
corporation known as Eastern Christian Outreach
and will be continuing their efforts contained in
this mission and doctrinal statement under the
name The Christian Sentinel. Stay tuned for
further changes!
This
is the index page of the online Christian
Sentinel magazine, which is an
occasional publication of Eastern
Christian Outreach, Inc. Although we
originally envisioned this magazine to be a
quarterly, in recent years ministry president Bill Alnor's
three roles
as a pastor/church planter (from 1996 to
the fall of 2000), a full time college
professor at Temple University,
and as a student working to complete his
Ph.D. work, prevented us from publishing
in a timely matter. This has
continued through 2002, as Bill was
employed full time at a university in
Northern Pennsylvania in 2001-02 and now
is employed in south Texas. Although our last issue was
published in February 1999, we anticipate
our next issue to come out at the end of
2002/early 2003. All previous
subscriptions will be honored.

Dungeons
and Dragons Bad?
"Swords and sorcery best describes what the game is
all about". Advanced
Dungeons & Dragons is a fantasy game of role playing which relies
upon the imagination of the participants, I can’t imagine that it
would be God’s will to involve any of his children in the kind of
seductive escapism. Jim Carroll, an apologist and hang gliding
enthusiast tells us why Christians should avoid it. |

of the Sophia Women By
Jackie Alnor The organized Feminist/Lesbian revolt against
Bible-believing Christianity is a call for what is called a new

their female deity, Sophia, in order to empower the women's movement
that is pushing itself upon the traditional church |

ENCOUNTER,
An alien abduction foiled by Jesus Christ
By Virginia Miller-Witmer What’s up with the saucers? An alien
abduction attempt foiled by Jesus—"Alien encounters were the
last thing on my mind in 1987. But one night I found myself in the

The
Tip of the Iceberg - Testimony of Jackie Alnor
You know the saying, "Once
a Catholic, always a Catholic." Well, for a majority of
Catholics. that’s true. It’s harder to get out of the grotto, than
out of the ghetto. |
